## What we do

- **Residential re-roofing** — full strip-and-replace on tile-to-metal conversions, like-for-like long-run replacements. Average price: $24,000–$36,000 for a standard 200m² home. Average duration: 5–10 working days.
- **Commercial roofing** — light commercial, rural sheds, body-corp residential blocks up to 8 storeys.
- **Storm and insurance work** — direct billing arrangements with IAG, Suncorp, Tower, Vero, and FMG. We handle the assessor docs.
- **Roof inspections and reports** — pre-purchase, insurance, and warranty inspections. Drone-based survey + written report inside 48 hours.

## What we don't do

- Asphalt shingle roofs (rare in NZ, we don't carry the spec)
- Slate or natural-tile work (we sub these out to specialists)

## Our spec (post-Gabrielle, 2023+)

After Cyclone Gabrielle exposed weak details across the industry, we rewrote our standard spec. Every Solution Roofing residential roof now uses:

- 0.55mm Colorsteel Endura long-run (or Maxx for severe coastal exposure within 500m of breaking surf)
- 0.75mm apron flashings, double-folded, hex-fixed every 450mm
- Continuous cleated gable barge details
- Tyvek RoofProtector underlay regardless of pitch
- Sika Sikaflex 11FC+ sealant on every junction

This costs us 4–6% more in materials per roof. We absorb it. 268 roofs to this spec. Zero weather call-outs across 14 named storms.

## Pricing (rule of thumb, 2026 NZD, GST inc)

- Residential re-roof (long-run metal): $120–$180 per m² installed
- Standard 200m² home: $24,000–$36,000 all-in
- Commercial light-industrial: $95–$130 per m² installed
- Inspection and written report: $450 flat (refundable against any quoted job)
- Emergency tarp call-out: $350 minimum, after-hours surcharge applies

## Warranty

- 5-year workmanship guarantee from us (covers leaks, flashings, fixings)
- Up to 30-year material warranty from manufacturer (Colorsteel Endura)
- Both transferable on sale
