A lot of the homes we re-roof in East Auckland are 60s and 70s concrete tile that’s past its life. We strip the lot, check what’s under it, then convert to long-run metal — lighter on the framing, quieter than people expect, and good for 30+ years.
Tile-to-metal conversions are about half the jobs we do out east. The other half splits between Howick–Pakuranga repairs, full re-roofs on St Heliers and Kohimarama originals, and the occasional Beachlands rural-residential project.
Send us your address and a couple of photos of the roof if you can. We’ll come look first — written quote, no deposit, no pressure to commit on the day.
Our nearest office is in Ponsonby, but our crews work across East Auckland every week. Mention your address when you call and we’ll route you to the right project manager.
From new roof installation to gutter replacement, repairs, and condition reports — we cover the full range of residential and commercial roofing for property owners in this region.
Outside this list? We work right across East Auckland. Just enter your address and we’ll quote.
Converting a tile roof to long-run metal isn’t just “swap one for the other.” The framing was designed for the weight of tiles — not a problem when you go lighter, but the purlin spacing and the sarking are usually the deciders on whether you can lay straight onto the existing rafters or need to re-batten.
We check it on the quote, not on the install day. If it needs re-battening, that’s in your written price up-front — no surprises once the old roof’s off and the crew’s standing on your section.

Most of the East Auckland homes we re-roof are 60s/70s tile that’s past its life. We strip, check the sarking, and convert to long-run metal. Send us your address.
