How I got here
I came to roofing sales after years on construction sites. That background shapes how I quote — I know what's actually on a roof, not just what's on a quote sheet.
I joined Solution Roofing™ because the team doesn't push for the sale. We don't follow up on quotes, we don't run ‘limited time’ pricing, and reps aren't on commission. You get a number, you take your time.
How a quote becomes a number
Every quote follows the same path: drone scan, on-site survey by an LBP, takeoff against the measurements, itemised line by line. No ‘contingency 10%’. No ‘sundries’. Every flashing, every screw count, every metre of underlay.
If the number is too high for what you're trying to do, we'll tell you. Often the conversation ends up being about phasing — worst face this year, the rest next year — rather than about discounting.
What I won't do
1. Hard-sell or follow up. Once the quote is sent, we don't chase. Decide on your own time, alongside other quotes.
2. Drop the price ‘just for you’. Our quote is what the job actually costs. There's no “manager's discount” hiding behind it.
3. Compete on missing items. If another quote is $10k less than ours, the difference is almost always something they've left off. Send it across and I'll walk you through it line by line.
